Frequently asked questions

Who are we?

Today, Elev's team is made up of students who have experienced the painful process of finding housing off-campus. We work hard everyday to build and deliver a solution that ensures students like ourselves find their ideal Home, away from home, and live a stress-free tenancy.

What is Elev?

Elev is a platform helping hosts make the most out of their property by helping find better tenants, better manage their property and provide a better experience for their tenants.

What other services do Elev offer?

We offer professional photoshoots to help boost your listings, FREE social media advertising, additional technical support, and automated rent payments.

What are the benefits of being with Elev?

Elev helps hosts streamline the entire renting process; from pre screening every student tenant to streamlining the rental application. Elev also facilitates communication between hosts and tenants through the messaging system on the app. Elev is also partnered with the largest student unions at the University of Alberta, MacEwan University and Nait which allows access to a large student market.

What is the cost of Elev?

Elev charges 4% of the rent that is split between the Host and the Student. 2% of the rent will autimatically be added to the total rent price for the student, and 2% will be deducted from the rent price from the host before payout.

How do I book a photoshoot?

Once you have downloaded the app from the app store and have made an account; then you are able to schedule a photoshoot by going to the settings tab and click "Book a Photoshoot"

How do I get access to the app?

You can download the app from the App Store and list your property in less than 5 minutes!

How do I get paired with a student?

Elev utilizes our unique matching system. Students get matched with a property based on their preference: location, price, size, and other categories.

How do you ensure continuous demand for student rentals?

We are currently partnered with University of Alberta, MacEwan and NAIT student unions to ensure we provide our services to all the students in need.
